South Indian actor Vijayakumar, who is known for various roles in South Indian languages, has lodged a complaint with Maduravoyal police in Chennai, alleging that his daughter Vanitha had encroached his house in Alapakkam locality.
The 75-year-old actor has two houses one at Kottivakkam and another one at Street no 11, Alapakkam near Ashta Laksmi temple under Maduravoyal police limits. However, has he been living in Kottivakkam along with his son Arun for quite sometime now. He frequently leases out his second house in Maduravoyal for movie shootings.
Last week, his daughter Vanitha came to him seeking the house for shooting purpose. After completion of movie shooting, Vanitha refused to vacate the house, the actor alleged. Vijayakumar further mentioned in the complaint that his daughter had been threatening him with lawyers and roudysheeters.
Following the complaint, the police registered a case and launched the probe. When the police secured details from Vanitha on Thursday, she entered into an argument with the police claiming that she has a right share in the property and she would not vacate the house. Meanwhile, knowing the information, press reporters and photographers gathered at the house. Vanitha is learnt to have attacked a camera person and vandalised equipment. The police said that Vanitha had earlier disputed with her father over several occasions.
