Telugu boy and popular Tamil hero Vishal announced his political entry last year. He desperately tried to contest the RK Nagar by-election last year, but his nomination was rejected by the election commission amidst controversies.
Yesterday, during his 40th birthday celebrations, Vishal surprise everyone by launching his own political party - Makkal Nala Iyakkam. Vishal also unveiled his party flag in which his image is embossed and the words "Ani Servom" (Lets come together) and "Anbai Vithaipom" (Lets sow the seeds of love).
The flag also features the photographs of Mother Theresa on the left and APJ Abdul Khalam on the right, with the captions "Vivegam" (Prudence) "Vithiyasam" (Different) and "Vida Muyarchi" (Determination).
However, Vishal said that Makkal Nala Iyakkam is more like a service organisation than a political party. But Tamil film circles opine that Vishal seriously nurtures political ambitions and has plans to contest the next general elections.
