Team India's star woman cricketer and captain of the Indian Twenty20 team Harmanpreet Kaur is set to lose her job as the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) with Punjab Government.
According to the reports, police found out that the graduation certificate submitted by Kaur at the time of joining the post was fake. The testimonials have been found to be incorrect.
Based on the investigation report, the Punjab State Police department recommended Chief Minister Amarinder Singh that the Arjuna Awardee cricketer could not be continued as DSP because of the lack of original certificate.
The report disclosed that the Chowdary Charan Singh University in Meerut has confirmed that the registration number in Kaur's certificate does not exist in their records.
Recognising Kaur's achievements, especially during the last year's ICC Women's World Cup, the Punjab Government felicitated her and also gave her the Group I post in the police department.
