COVID-19: 25 Lakh Cases & 1.7 Lakh Deaths Globally

As everyone knows, the entire world is experiencing a global pandemic of novel coronavirus. So far, 25+ lakh people have been confirmed to have been infected globally, with 1.7 lakh deaths. The highest numbers of cases are registered in US with 8+ lakh confirmed cases and 43,000 deaths. Following US, Spain reported 2+ lakh confirmed cases and 82,000 people have been recovered so far.

With lockdown in many nations, there is an emergency situation everywhere. Before US, the situation was worse in Italy, where the overall death toll went close to 25,000. Out of 25+ lakh cases globally, 6.59 lakh people have been survived the pandemic.

India has been under lockdown since 25 March, with only some businesses such as kirana stores, vegetable & fruit vendors, milk suppliers and food processing units left with functioning. While extending the lockdown till May 3rd, Prime minister Narendra Modi said the conditional relaxation begins after 20 April for regions where the spread has been contained.

In the meanwhile, several nations have come up with stimulus package to boost their economic situation and announced special health package to fight COVID-19 pandemic. Many nations are temporarily suspending the visas and US President Donald Trump said he will shortly sign an executive order to stop immigrants from entering US.
