Infy Techie arrested after asking people to spread the virus

The City Crime Branch of Bengaluru has arrested an Infosys employee yesterday as the man posted a shocking social media post asking the public to "go out and sneeze". He urged people to go and spread Covid-19 and it is absolutely revolting as the novel virus is a serious issue, infecting 860 people across the country already.

This Infosys employee has been identified as Mujeeb Mohammad and he wrote on his Facebook "Let's join hands, go out and sneeze with open mouth in public. Spread the virus". Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Bengaluru said that the employee has been detained for asking people to spread the dangerous infection.

A case has been registered on him and Infosys also responded saying the post was "against the code of conduct and its commitment to responsible social sharing". "Infosys has completed its investigation on the social media post by one of its employees and we believe that this is not a case of mistaken identity," the company said in a statement posted on Twitter.

"The social media post by the employee is against Infosys' code of conduct and its commitment to responsible social sharing. Infosys has a zero-tolerance policy towards such acts and has accordingly, terminated the services of the employee," the statement added.

Currently, Karanata state has 64 positive cases and three deaths. The first patient to get infected in India and the youngest patient (10-month-old), both have been tested from Karnataka state.
