Coronavirus: 10-months-old baby tested positive

Until yesterday, the youngest to get affected with the novel coronavirus in India was a three-year-old boy from Telangana. Today, the country woke up to another upsetting news that a 10-month-old baby in Karnataka has been tested positive.

The case has been reported from a village named Sajinapadu in Dakshina Kannada district and the baby was admitted to a private hospital at Derlakatte on March 23 after showing flu and acute respiratory illness symptoms.

The samples of the baby have been tested in the lab the very next day which confirmed positive. On this, the release from district health officer Ramachandra Bayari says that the baby is now in stable condition.

Also, the whole village has been quarantined as a precautionary measure and no one is allowed to enter or go out of the village. Baby's mother and family members have also been quarantined in the hospital.
