This App Tells If You Crossed Path With Corona Patients

Have you crossed path with a COVID-19 positive tested patient in recent times? This upcoming application on Android and iOS will be letting you know if that happened. Countries like Taiwan and Singapore have successfully made use of such apps which enabled people about knowing the presence of corona +ve people around.

Built on the lines of South Korea's app named Corona100m, which notifies users about corona patient in their vicinity, now Govt of India is also building an app which they have beta tested effectively on Wednesday. Within a couple of days, this app developed of Ministry of Electronics and Niti Aayog will be available on Android platforms first, which will help users check if they have got close to any Corona virus positive patients recently.

We are hearing that geo-tagging technology is being used for this app, where the movements of corona affected patients and their family members will be tracked and presented. And the date of +ve patients will be taken from ICMR and Health Ministry. While the names and other details of patients will be kept a secret, the app will show lines on the maps such that others will not take that way or go there.

However, government wants to make sure that the unnamed app will work well when millions of users are using it, as they have right now tested only with 10,000 people.
