Chief Consultant Of 'Contagion' Movie Tests Corona Positive

Back in 2011, to make a film about a dangerous and deadly virus that kills millions of people, director Steven Soderbergh not only employed scriptwriters but he also got a medical & scientific consultant aboard to get the things right. Ian Lipkin, the director of Columbia University's Center for Infection and Immunity, served as that consultation on "Contagion".

In an unfortunate happening, none other than Ian Lipkin now got diagnosed with coronavirus as he himself revealed about getting tested positive for COVID-19. Actually, in January, Lipkin went to China to research on Coronavirus, like how he researched on SARS virus back in 2003 to help WHO contain it. Despite the fact that he is quarantine and took extreme preventive measures, the researcher got infected by the virus.

While Ian Lipkin is said to be recovering from the infection, he is also said to be working on another pandemic TV series where scenes related to Coronavirus will be featured.
