Coronavirus: Satya Nadella's wife donated Rs 2 cr to KCR

Anupama Venugopal Nadella, the wife of Microsoft chief executive officer Satya Nadella announced on Tuesday that she is willing to donate a whopping Rs 2 crore. Kudos that Anupama joined hands to battle the coronavirus outbreak and support for immediate and long-term relief of the novel virus in Telangana.

The total number of detected positive cases in Telangana rose to 36 and Anupama Venugopal Nadella announced the timely donation so that it would be of great help in terms of required commodities to those in need.

Moreover, the donations would be profoundly beneficial during lockdowns. Anupama's father KR Venugopal, the ex-IAS officer, handed over a cheque for Rs 2 crore to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

It is also amazing to hear that the CM Welfare Fund has received donations from Government employees and teachers, i.e, day’s basic salaries up to Rs 48 crore. The cheque was handed over by the leaders of Joint Action Committee of State Govt Employees K Ravinder Reddy and Mamata. Earlier, actor Nitin has also donated Rs 10 lakh to CM KCR.
