Coronavirus: 1000 Inmates To Be Released From New Jersey Jails

No one ever would have thought that a day would come, that has seen orders of releasing the prison inmates out due to a virus outbreak, like a movie scene. But it is happening very soon in New Jersey.

In a landmark agreement in the present public health crisis, the chief state judge in New Jersey ordered the release of nearly 1,000 inmates in county jails by Tuesday, as to control the spread of coronavirus and due to the dangers posed by it if it spreads among the inmates in prisons.

The inmates who are put behind the bars for municipal court convictions, probation violations, disorderly persons offense and for fourth-degree or petty crimes, will be released from Tuesday.

The inmates who have tested positive will not be released until the judge determines a plan to isolate the individual.
