Please Learn This New Term: 'Covidiot'

Every time an epidemic or some history-changing incident happens in the world, millennials keep on using some new words that are not there in the English history and dictionary so far. And as time goes one, those words get added to urban dictionaries and then Oxford dictionary and others will recognize them over time.

In the backdrop of COVID-19 outbreak, right now there are certain terms that are doing rounds. Especially, rather calling 'coronavirus affected person', people are calling such persons as 'coronic', just like diabetic or anaemic. But another terrific term that is actually doing rounds, and that is most apparent to many folks out there who are not even worried about the lockdown, lack empathy towards the health emergency is this one. Covidiot.

An 'idiot' who is not following the terms and precautions regarding COVID-19 is termed as 'Covidiot'. Of course, there are lots of covidiots on roads today, who has not only violated the guidelines set by Telangana and AP governments, but also tried to overload grocery stores and superbazaars, and started buying food quite in excess, leaving the other needy in a shock.

To take care of these covidiots, now Hyderabad Police has ensured a total lockdown and for now just giving warnings to wanderers on road, while from tomorrow they will be seizing vehicles whether private or public. One needs to have a proper, genuine reason to come out of home, and for grocery shopping, they are not allowed to go other than 1 km radius from their houses.
