COVID-19: Netherlands Flight Turns Back After India Refuses Its Landing

The coronavirus scare has brought many unexpected rules by the government of world countries. Travel ban on international flights is a major one among them and India too launched the ban on flights from other countries in a measure to stop the virus spread from other countries.

A flight from the Netherlands with around 90 Indian passengers in it reached India but returned with landing as DGCA, the Director-General of Civil Aviation officials refused to allow its landing. With no option left, the Netherlands flight had to fly back.

The flight of KLM, KL0871 from Amsterdam flew to reach Delhi, but without checking the updated regulations and new laws imposed in this emergency situation. India has already launched the ban on flights from Europe after the Corona scare in Italy and Spain.

After refusing permission to land the flight from the Netherlands, DGCA alleged that the mentioned airways did not abide by the rules we adopted recently. India will not be allowing any international flights from landing in the country.
