In Self Quarantine, Union Minister Tested Negative

Union Minister of State for External Affairs & Parliamentary Affairs, V Muraleedharan has been tested negative of Corona virus which eased things. Going into details Muraleedharan who hails from Kerala, visited Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMT) in Thiruvananthapuram on March 14th to assess the measures taken by Kerala government as more number of cases being reported in the state.

Post Muraleedharan's visit, a person has been tested positive of Coronavirus from the institute. As a precautionary measure Muraleedharan was in home quarantine and later went for tests. The report confirmed that he was tested negative of the virus yet the minister has decided to be in self isolation.

SCTIMT doctors have issued a small clarification on this incident. A doctor who came from Spain on March 1st has been tested of the virus on March 13th. The following day, Muraleedharan visited the hospital but nowhere he came in contact with the doctor.

The SCTIMT have elaborated of the events that took place on the day of minister's visit and so Muraleedharan as a preventive step isolated himself at his Delhi residence.
