The world of moviegoers woke up to a shocking news today as Hollywood's superstar Tom Hanks and his actress wife Rita Wilson have been tested positive for coronavirus in Australia. The actor himself tweeted the unfortunate news on his Twitter handle. The couple, who are 63 both, are currently in Gold coast, Australia, as Tom was working on a biopic of Elvis Presley.

Reportedly, Mr and Mrs Hanks showed the first sign with a fever followed by the novel infection. They will now be isolated and monitored. "We felt a bit tired like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive," he wrote on his social media handles.

Tom Hanks also posted a picture of a surgical glove placed inside a biohazard trash bag. He further added, "What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks' will be tested observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requirements. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?" Talking about Australia alone, the country has 136 confirmed cases of coronavirus and three deaths.

The news came as a shock to his fans as Hanks is one of the big stars in Hollywood and this deadly virus affecting him is indeed a piece of sad news. Corona has so far infected over 1.25 lakh people in more than a hundred countries and claimed nearly 4K lives.The film on Elvis Presley is being produced by Warner Bros and the team has stated that they are working with the appropriate Australian health agencies to identify and contact anyone who may have come in direct contact with the actor "The health and safety of our company members are always our top priority, and we are taking precautions to protect everyone who works on our productions around the world," the studio said.
