Sachin wins Laureus Sporting Moment

Remember the victory rally of Sachin Tendulkar along with team India members in 2011 World Cup at the Wankhede stadium. This moment has been named as Laureus best sporting moment in the last 20 years.

Sachin Tendulkar was in Berlin to receive the award and he is delighted that this moment has won best sporting award. Speaking after accepting the award Sachin said, "It was an incredible experience (winning World Cup) and beyond words. Very rarely the entire country celebrates. This (award) is a reminder of how powerful sport is and the magic it does to all our lives."

Adding, the little master blaster said, "It all started in the year 1983 when India won its first cricket World Cup and I was 10 years old then. I wanted to experience the same feeling and the tricolor on my shoulders at this moment was the proudest moment of my life. I lifted the World Cup trophy on behalf of my whole nation."

Australian legend Steve Waugh presented the Laureus award to Sachin.
