People are yet to forget the shocking crimes of Jolly Joseph, the Kerala housewife who meticulously killed 6 family members over 14 years mixing cyanide in food. Now, yet another case, even more horrific, has been unearthed by the Eluru police.

The Eluru town cops arrested a 38-year-old fortune teller named Vellanki Simhadri alias Siva has killed 10 people within 20 months using cyanide laced prasadam. Siva claimed to posses supernatural powers and killed 10 customers and robbed them of gold, money and other valuables after offering them cyanide prasadam, telling them that it's an ayurvedic medicine. His victims include his grandmother and sister-in-law.

Siva used to trap his victims by promising to make them rich or double their assets by arranging rice pulling coins in a special pooja. He later gave them 'cyanide prasadam' and used to escape after stealing cash and gold once they were dead. He mostly carried out his crimes in the West and East Godavari and Krishna districts.
