Deepika's #MeToo Statement on Cicketers Shocks Fans

Deepika Padukone has recently met director Luv Ranjan, who is popularly known for directing Pyaar ka Punchnama series. Luv Ranjan is a #MeToo accused and Deepika meeting him made her fans upset. Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgn was slammed for working with MeToo accused, and now, Deepika, who rumoured to be finalised for a film under Luv's direction is bringing in more attention.

Deepika fans question the actress on why she chose to work with someone like Luv who have MeToo accusations against him. However, the news has remained unconfirmed. But, Deepika reacted saying that she will never work with someone who is accused of sexual misconduct.

Also, the actress opened up on MeToo movements saying that, "You should ask some cricketers about the #MeToo movement. I don't see that happening. But every actor is asked about the #MeToo movement. It's not something that's happening only in the film industry." She added, "So, sure, I don't think I'm in any kind of place to say if I would expose myself to a forum. You can ask me whatever question you want, but why subject it only to a film star? As responsible people, should we not have an opinion? All our opinions should matter then, right?".

These shocking statements from her had stirred the controversy as her words have gone viral saying Deepika wanted to hint that there are #Metoo accused men in cricket fraternity as well.
