Mayank Scores Double Ton, India at 502/7d

The Indian cricket team is in a commanding position in the first Test match against South Africa going on in Vizag. All thanks to openers Rohith Sharma and Mayank Agarwal. Rohit scored 176 runs while Mayank scored his first double century and got out at 215.

However, the Indian middle order failed to captilise on the solid start. No batsman crossed 30 runs but India managed to post 502 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Captain Kohli then declared the Indian innings. From South Africa, spinner Keshav Maharaj picked three wickets and bowled 55 overs.

Rohit and Mayank also set new record for the opening partnership. Their 317 runs is the third highest opening stand for India in the Test cricket. Mayank became the fourth Indian batsmen to convert his maiden Test ton into a double century.
