Vidya Balan is one of those unconventional actresses who redefined the role of a heroine in Indian cinemas. Her bold and experimental movies like Dirty Picture, Kahaani have gained her innumerable accolades and her Telugu debut NTR Kathanayakudu with Balakrishna took Tollywood by storm.

Though Vidya Balan is not a Telugite, she is South Indian by cultural origin. She was born to parents to Tamilian descent.  However, she attained good popularity with NTR Kathanakudu and the actress has now expressed her views on wanting to do more Telugu films. She said it was a whole new wonderful experience for her to act in a Telugu film and she went on to praise the crew members for being extremely professional on sets. "Everyday the shooting started at 9 am in the morning and ended by 6 pm in the evening. So punctual, people in the South are. I wish to do more Telugu films in the future," she quoted.

Though we have many North heroines in Tollywood, Vidya Balan has exceptionally perfect South Indian features that might pour more offers in the days to come. Moreover, her talent will definitely set the screen ablaze. In fact, even viewers and fans want to see Vidya in Telugu films as she won many hearts in a flawless housewife role (Basavataram) in NTR Kathanayakudu.
