It is a well-known fact that professional athletes get paid well for the sports they play but, some earn more from endorsements than actually playing the sport. The young and dynamic 24-year-old PV Sindhu, after bagging her latest achievement by winning India's first gold at the BWF World Championships is busy in the selection of new brand endorsement deals. It is reported that Sindhu is keen on choosing credible and long-term partnerships that are not fortuitous only after her massive wins.

Her brand endorsement fee is already Rs 65-85 lakh per day and now her recent achievement will bring a drastic hike of 50-70%. So, this makes Sindhu the highest-paid woman athlete in India. She also commands fees comparable to some leading cricketers. Moreover, the market is always looking  for cricketers as their brand ambassadors and Sindhu's recent triumph makes her a promising candidate.

As per Forbes, Sindhu ranked 13th on the list of highest-paid female athletes in the world. In fact, she is the only Indian athlete to feature in this list.
