Kukatpally: IBM employee found dead in a lake

A 28-year-old IT employee's dead body was found floating in Mullakunta lake, Kukatpally. The man was identified as Avakash Mahanta,  who is an IT employee in IBM  and part-time theatre artist. The incident took place on Tuesday. The cops could identify him as he had his identity card in the pocket.

Coming to details, Avakash was working with IBM and gone missing for the past five days. On this, his friends and well-wishers started a social media campaign in order to trace him. He used to reside in Dilsukhnagar, but a native of Haryana.

Since Avakash had no wounds and injuries on his body, the cops suspect that he could have accidentally fallen into the lake. And the post-mortem report stated that the reason for his death has been concluded due to drowning. But, was it accidental or intentional is yet to be investigated.

The SI of KPHB Colony Narasimhulu recovered Avakash's bike from the area and he confirmed that the investigation is still on. However, his friends speculate that it could be a murder. But cops believe the autopsy reports which suggests otherwise and moreover, Avakash's body still had his office bag and footwear. Another suspicion is that it would be a case of suicide too.

With too many suspicions, KPHB police have registered a case under CrPC 174.  Actor Priyadarshi, along with theatre artists community, stood on social media campaign and has made his efforts in tracing Avakash.
