The whole nation is currently proud, contended and pride-filled with PV Sindhu winning gold at BWF World Champions. Her historic victory is indeed exemplary. But the country has forgotten to congratulate and bring to notice another Paralympian Manasi Joshi, who also won gold in World para Badminton Champion, amidst well-deserved accolades for Sindhu. In fact, both ladies deserve the same amount of respect and recognition for the victories they earned.

Manasi Girishchandra Joshi, just like PV Sindhu has been trained under Gopichand's Acadamy. Manasi is not an ordinary girl as her willpower is completely exceptional and seldom do we find determination like hers. This strong lady, who was working as a software engineer at an MNC, has met with an accident in 2011 which resulted in losing her left leg. After amputating her leg, in order to stay fit, Manasi chose badminton as her fulltime profession. But she was introduced to the sport at the age of eight by her parents.

In 2018, Mansai grabbed a Bronze medal in women's singles at Thailand Para-Badminton International and a Bronze medal in women's singles in Asian Para Games..Her achievements do speak a lot about her hard work and determination.

Manasi said that it was dream come true as she won against dangerous and experienced player Parul Parmer in the women's singlesSL3 finals on Saturday. On this, Manasi tweeted, " I earned it. I worked every bit of it".  Today, It is a double whammy for India as both Sindhu and Manasi made the historic victories.
