Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft sent back its first image of moon. The spacecraft clicked the portrait from a height of 1,650 miles (2,650 km) above the lunar surface, on Wednesday.

The picture has annotations locating large Apollo crater and the Mare Oreinotale basin. Chandrayaan 2entered the lunar orbit earlier this week and is planned to deliver a lander and rover on lunar surface in September.

Landing down safely on surface of the Moon is hard and if Chandrayaan 2 makes it, India will be the fourth country after US, The Soviet Union and China to land softly on the Moon.
