Captain Kohli reacts to rift with Rohit Sharma

There has been widespread speculation that things are not well between Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Vice Captain Rohit Sharma after the team lost semi-final match in World Cup-2019. The rumour has it that Rohit is very upset for not taking his view into consideration when it comes to team selection and key matters. Also, hearsay is that Rohit Sharma and Kohli are not talking to eachother.

Team India captain Virat Kohli has reacted to it, before leaving for West Indies (WI) tour. Virat and Indian cricket coach Ravi Shastri interacted with media journalists on Monday.  When a media guy questioned about the rumoured rift with Rohit, Kohli iterated that he had no issues with the Indian opening batsman and everything is fine between them.

Virat answered it nonchalantly, "In my opinion, it's baffling. It's absolutely ridiculous to read these kind of stuff, that comes out there. I have been to public events where we have been praised and here we are feeding off lies, overlooking facts, turning a blind eye to all good things that happened and creating fantasies and scenarios in our head. We want to accept that this is the truth. I have seen this for too long now. Bringing personal lives into the picture. It's disrespectful after a moment. I have played the game for 11 years and Rohit has played for 10 years (12 years) and it's bizarre that people are creating this stuff from outside. If I don't like a person or am I insecure of a person, you will see that on my face. That's how simple it is. I have always praised Rohit whenever there has been an opportunity, because I believe he's that good. We have had no issues."
