Karan Johar Buys Dear Comrade for 6 Crs?

Even before the release of Vijay Devarakonda's Dear Comrade, Bollywood director and producer Karan Johar has made an announcement that he will be remaking it for Bollywood audiences.

Now, The Times media reported that Karan Johar has paid a stunning Rs 6 Crore to grab the rights of Dear Comrade. According to trade analysts, no other South was bought for such a huge amount.

Not even the commercial blockbusters like Temper and Muni-2 have fetched such a big amount. Given the fact that Vijay's previous remake 'Arjun Reddy' amassed massive moolah in Bollywood, it is apparent to have some good expectations on his next.

Besides Karan, other producers who were reportedly in race to get Comrade rights include Sajid Nadiadwala, Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani and Vijay Galani.
