The Indian cricket team has displayed an utterly disappointing performance in the semi-finals of the ICC world cup and lost to New Zealand at Manchester by 18 runs.
Resuming the match, the BlackCaps made 239 runs for the loss of eight wickets. In reply India made a disastrous start. Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli were cheaply dismissed for 1 run and India was struggling at 5 run for the loss of three wickets.
Rishab Pant, Hardik Pandya have resisted for a while but New Zealand kept taking wickets at regular intervals. Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni batted for some time giving hope for but once again New Zealand bowlers struck at the right moment. Jadeja was dismissed Boult and Dhoni was run out in the 49th over.
Finally India were bowled out for 221 runs.
