A 19-year-old girl, named Shravani, has committed suicide after being counselled by her parents for spending long hours on the mobile phone. The incident happened in Hyderabad city and Shravani was allegedly counselled by her mother on using her mobile for an extended period of time.
The Telangana police have registered a case under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and have sent the girl's dead body to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem formalities. Speaking about the case, the Punjagutta official said that after postmortem, the exact reason will be found out.
The girl has reportedly consumed poison with her food over her mother scolding her to not use the mobile for excessive time. Teenage is usually a problematic age for parents to handle as their brain's ability to adopt parents viewpoint is still budding. Similar cases have been found earlier in India and have shaken everyone over the eccentricity.
