Two male suspects, one adult and a juvenile, opened fire at a school in Denver (Colorado) in the US that leads to the death of one student, leaving seven more critically injured. The two male suspects have been taken into custody.
The shooters walked inside premises and around 2 pm, the shooting started in STEM School Highlands Ranch which has over 1,800 students. Seven students have been injured and currently, SWAT is still clearing school. The Douglas County Sherriff's Office tweeted, "Parents please have patience with reunification process". Critically injured students were shifted to area hospitals.
Later, authorities confirmed that an 18-year-old student died in the shooting: "It is with extreme sadness that we can confirm that 1 student at the STEM School was killed in today's #stemshooting incident. The immediate family has been notified. Douglas County Coroner Jill Romann has not officially identified the student is stating it's an 18-year-old male."
Apart from one adult male and one juvenile male, no other suspects were declared. Also, no staff or officers injured. The process of uniting students with parents are underway, added authorities.
