Indian Air Force pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman met his colleagues in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. A video on the same, where the real hero, Abhinandan, is seen interacting, has gone viral on social media.
His colleagues clicked photographs with him and Wing Commander, while addressing other Air Force members, said that these pictures were not for them but for their family members. "All these photographs are not for you but for your families I could not meet. All of you and your families prayed for my health," Abhinandan Varthaman said.
It was the first video ever since he was discharged from hospital and it was shot in the month of April. Just a few days ago, the Indian Air Force (IAF) had issued a transfer order for Abhinandan Varthaman as there is a possible threat from Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) which had carried out the Pulwama terror attack on February 26.
Abhinandan, who worked in Srinagar earlier, will now be deployed outside Srinagar to a peace station. He became an overnight hero when Pakistan captured him on February 27 after his MiG 21 Bison crashed inside Pakistan. He set an example for showing courage and valour in such a difficult circumstance.
