The recent controversial statement by Gautam Gambhir on Virat Kohli gave a huge stir among fans. After calling Kohli's captaincy for RCB team just a bit of luck and hardly any hard work, another taunt was thrown at the RCB captain by the cricketer-turned-politician.
The RCB team lost six matches in a row so far and left the Bangalore fans in distress. On this, Gambhir stated that even though Kohli is a great batsman, his captaincy is still an apprentice. He said that Kohli needs to learn a lot. Rather than blaming the blowers, he should take the blame on himself.
He questioned why did the last year's auction go for Marcus Sstoins and Nathan Coulter-Nile if they knew these players were unavailable from the beginning. He pointed out Kohli's decision making in selecting bowlers for the crucial overs in the recent match.
'At the mall venue like Chinnaswamy stadium, where the wicket is flat, I would have gone with an out-and-out bowler', he said. Last month, Gambhir claimed that he doesn't see Kohli as a shrewd captain and created a controversial debate among cricket fans.
