It is well-known news that actress Kangana Ranaut signed a film under Anurag Basu's direction some time back and the film is titled Imali. But now the actress confirms that she has opted out of the project as she wants to concentrate on her next directorial venture.
The actress announced that "I had to opt out Anurag Basu's film Imali as I had to direct and reshoot Manikarnika. Imali was supposed to go on the floors in November 2018. I was also planning on my direction work. In the midst of all these, Panga, my next film had already started and I couldn't do that."
Kangana is currently busy with her next projects Mental Hai Kya, Panga and the Jayalalithaa biopic. She also revealed that Anurag Basu calmly supported her decision. She confessed about feeling bad for losing Imali as it was giving an opportunity to work with her mentor again. "Luckily, Basu understood my situation," she said.
While doing Jayalalithaa biopic, Kangana said that she won't multi-task and will not do any other work in sync. She said nothing is more important that women empowerment.
