Don't use Abhinandan photo: EC to BJP

After the election schedule announcement, the model code of conduct (MCC) has come into effective right away. This code refrains all the political parties from taking advantage of certain things pertaining to the country and also campaign on the basis of religion, region and others.

BJP which is expecting second term in the national capital, is pulling all its sources to win people's faith. So it laid a step forward and used the picture of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman who was captured and freed by Pakistani army.

BJP leader and Delhi MLA Om Prakash Sharma has reportedly used Abhinandan's picture and it also PM Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah's pictures. He published them on March 1st in his Facebook page. EC received a complaint through cVIGIL app which enables common man to report any sort of activity which is against EC rules and regulations during the polls.

The Election Commission of India has also directed BJP and all the political parties from using Abhinandan's picture in the elections for the sake of sentiment.
