The Andhra state's government has been mishandling and embezzling Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam's revenue, claimed MP, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy. Swamy has reportedly submitted a written court appeal asking the court-monitored audit committee to examine TTD's inside functioning.
He strongly demanded that TTD organization control should be given to priests for genuine welfare instead of being under the government. He challenged provisions of the state law, AP Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987. Swamy also said that the state government is looting temple funds and there is no controlled audit so far.
The government is trying to control religious institutions in the form of sanction provided in the law, he added. He went on to Chandrababu Naidu that in spite of BJP telling there won't be any SCS given to the state, Naidu took the side of the Congress and jumping around like a monkey in a circus ring.
TDP, however, criticized BJP for talking about south temples and asked the party to first check the mishandling of Maharastra Government over Shirdi temple's funds.
