Inspiring Story Of Telugu Chaiwala who gets 'Padma Shri'

Tea vendor D Prakash Rao from Odisha has been named for the fourth highest civilian award of India, Padma Shri.

But Prakash is a Telugu. His parents got settled in Odisha when he was a kid. Coming to Prakash, why he was awarded Padma Shri who is just a 'Chaiwala' is an inspiring story.

Prakash is the force behind educating 70-75 children from the slums of Bhubaneswar. He was recognised by none other than Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. In his 'Mann Ki Baat' radio program, Modi praised Prakash's contribution towards educating under poverty kids.

The tea vendor runs a primary school called 'Asha o Aswasana' by whatever he earns which is just Rs 600 per day. Not just this, Prakash has a record for his name for donating blood highest number of times, about 217 times.

A big applause to this man with a BIG HEART.
