Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and Lokesh Rahul received a lot of criticism for their insensitive comments on women in the talk show 'Koffee With Karan.' They were suspended by BCCI and a probe is on them.
Reacting on Hardik and Rahul's controversy, host of the show and Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has apologised to the two cricketers. 'I have to say that I feel very responsible because it was my show, it was my platform. I invited them as guests and so it is my responsibility. I say sorry to them,' said Karan.
The director and producer added that he had gone through many sleepless nights because of this whole episode which has gone out of control. Partly defending himself and the show, Karan said, 'The question I asked Hardik and Rahul are the similar ones that I asked Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt on the very show.'
Despite issuing an unconditional apology, there is no respite for cricketers Hardik Pandya and Rahul. The Supreme Court appointed committee will decide the fate of these cricketers who are in race to be part of the squad for the cricket world cup.
