A Kannada film getting released in other South Indian states is not an easy thing. But, Kannada star actor Yash featured 'KGF' has been released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam. And the film has opened to great reception in all the four regional languages. 'KGF' is surprising the trade pundits of Bollywood and the overall gross of the film has crossed 100 crore mark at the box office.
The Hindi version of KGF garnered a gross of 17 Crore by crushing Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan's 'Zero' at the box office. Taking these trade figures into consideration, Yash fans have been made some comments on SRK. Responding to them, fans of Shahrukh also have trolled Yash in return. Amidst the war between both the fans, KGF star Yash broke his silence and spoke about the social media attack.
"I have got no intentions that my movie should work better than Sharukh's film. Truly, I wanted both the films to become successful. The kind of overwhelming reception that KGF is getting in North India has truly surprised our movie unit. Most of them do not know me but they are whistling & clapping to my introduction scenes in the film. It's our intention to take Kannada cinema to next level and achieved it with this film," said Yash.
While SRK's 'Zero' (Hindi) collected a gross of 20 Crore on day-1, KGF minted 18 Crore in all the languages. In the following days, KGF surpassed Zero.
