The Kolebira by poll election in Jharkhand has won by Congress party's Naman Bixcel Kongadi. The Congress party candidate Naman emerged victorious by over 9658 votes against Bharatiya Janata Party contestant Basant Soreg. The win by Congress party contestant ends Jharkhand Party leader Anosh Ekka's hold over tribal dominated constituency. The Congress party has won this seat after almost 15 years (3 terms).
On other hand, BJP candidate Kunvarji Bavalia won by 19,979 votes against Congress leader Avsar Nakiya in Gujarat. Recently, Kunvarji quit Congress to join BJP and so it led to by-election there. He is the five time MLA in Gujarat assembly.
So, both the national parties have won each by-election in Gujarat and Jharkhand. The by-poll results came after Congress emerged triumphant in three out of five state assembly elections in the country.
