For everyone out there, that looks like King Khan is holding a larger knife, but for people of Sikh faith, it is a 'Gatra Kipran' which they could wear in daily life as well with permission from the Govt Of India as it happens to be a religious matter. And that started the trouble now for Shahrukh Khan's ZERO.
In a poster of the film that was unveiled recently, actually, Shahrukh is seen in pyjama knickers and wearing a great kipran as he plays the role of Bauua Singh in Anand L Rai directorial Zero. Finding that as a great offense that affects the feelings of millions of Sikhs, Delhi MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa has filed a police complaint against SRK and the film.
In the complaint, the MLA, who also happens to be General Secretary of Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC), alleged that Sikhs are greatly offended with the way SRK is wearing it. As Khan appeared in a lighter vein look, the complainant alleged that it also shows Sikh faith in a lighter vein. He demanded the promo and posters to be removed, which otherwise they might stall the release of the movie.
Zero also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the leads and set for December 21 release.
