So what if it's a Rajini's film? Sorry! No theatres

Those were the days if it is a Rajinikanth film, distributors used to fight for the rights, especially in Telugu as it is the second largest market for south Indian superstar. But times have changed and almost all Rajini's previous films have failed to impress the Telugu audience which also made a big hole in the pockets of the distributors.

When Rajini teams up with known directors, those films turn hot cakes and accordingly they do business which is equal to any big hero of Tollywood. The situation is completely opposite when Rajini works with an anonymous face. So is the case of the superstar's forthcoming movie 'Petta.'

This film is slated for Sankranthi release. However it is not doing expected business in Telugu. The reason being, three big films are striking the box office for the festival. Among them, NTR biopic is the craziest project, followed by Megapowerstar Ram Charan's untitled flick with Boyapati Srinu and the last is 'F2' which is a multi-starrer in the combination of Venkatesh and Varun Tej.

The theatres across the Telugu states would be jam packed with these three release and there would no room for the dubbing films. And adding fuel to the fire, 'Petta' almost seems like 'Kaala' and the director Karthik Subbaraju is not a familiar face among the TFI circles.

So there are high changes of 'Petta' not having a simultaneous release like Tamil. But we never know, if Rajini's '2 Point 0' scores a hit then 'Petta' is likely to make way before the box office.
