Former lyric writer Kulasekhar, who had penned songs for over 100 films, had turned into a thief. Jubilee Hills police have arrested Kulasekhar and found a bag, 10 mobiles, some credit and debit cards. According to police, Kulasekhar had stolen a Purohit's bag. He was spotted in a suspicious way when he was roaming near a temple in Srinagar colony. Based on CCTV footage, cops have arrested him on Sunday night. Police have taken him into custody and recovered valuables from him which he admittedly stolen from Purohits. Cops have registered a case against him and now sent him into remand.
Apparently, Kulasekhar has been targeting Purohits and their community owing to grudge he had developed. Kulasekhar's song against the community had allegedly shown them in a poor light and since then, that particular community allegedly led to his downfall. This said to have developed a hatred in him against the said community. Since then, Kulasekhar was said to be targeting Purohits & their community.
Earlier in 2016, he was found stealing Lord Hanuman's silver 'Sathagopam' (a holy crown that is kept on head of devotees for the blessing of God) from Kakinada's Anjaneya temple. He was convicted and jailed for 6 months at Rajahmundry jail. Even after he was released from jail, there is said to be no change in Kulasekhar.
Hailing from Simhachalam in Visakhapatnam, Tirumala Pallerlamudi Kulasekhar(47), he had penned popoular songs in films like Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule, Sainikudu, Bommarillu, Gharshana, Dil, Indra, Jayam, Chitram, Nuvvu Nenu, Santosham besides several other popular films.
