The Andhra Pradesh state has bagged one more award in the schemes introduced by the Union government. AP has secured first place in Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) during the first three years of the mission.
Based on the ranks, Andhra Pradesh led the chart with 65.24 percent while Telangana state stood fourth in this scheme with 52.39 percent of score.
AMRUT scheme was introduced in the year 2015. It analyses the supply of water, sewage system, clean and green initiatives, collection of waste in cities. In the Ease of Doing Business Index meeting held on Monday, the rankings of AMRUT scheme were announced.
Union Minister of State with Independent Charge in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Harideep Singh Puri has chaired this meeting and handed over the commendation certificate to Andhra Pradesh AMRUT mission director, K. Kanna Babu.
