One of the most reputed CEOs in the world and first woman CEO of the global beverage company PepsiCo, Indra Nooyi is all set for her exit. After 12 long years as the CEO, 62-year-old Indra Nooyi will step down on October 3, 2018.
Chennai-born Indra K. Nooyi is an alumnus of ivy-league universities like IIM-Calcutta and Yale. She has worked with PepsiCo for 24 years. 12 years ago i.e in 2006, she was named CEO of the global beverage giant. She is the first Indian executive who broke glass ceiling in corporate America by becoming CEO for the New York-based company.

"Growing up in India, I never imagined I'd have the opportunity to lead an extraordinary company like @PepsiCo. Leading this company has been the honor of my lifetime. We've made more meaningful impact in people's lives than I ever dreamed possible," wrote Indra Nooyi confirming her exit.
However, she will remain to be the Chairman of PepsiCo till early 2019. PepsiCo President Ramon Laguarta,54, is going to replace Nooyi as the CEO. "Board of Directors has unanimously elected Ramon Laguarta to succeed Indra K. Nooyi as the Chief Executive Officer," reads the PepsiCo's statement.
