Priyanka gets notice for illegal construction

At the time when media is going gaga over Bollywood beauty Priyanka Chopra's visit to India with her rumored boy friend and Hollywood actor Nick Jonas, the Municipal Corporation of greater Mumbai shocked her by serving a legal notice over an illegal construction in Mumbai.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday issued legal notice to the popular actress in response to the five complaints received from co-residents of that area. The BMC staff members, along with corporate, have visited the beauty spa and saloon in the unauthorized construction at Oshiwara area of Andheri (West). Reportedly, the owners of building have violated the rules of BMC by erecting its altitude and installing mezzanine floors.

The Mumbai Municipal Corporation issued notices to both owners and occupants of the building, which is situated right beside the office of Priyanka Chopra. In the legal notice, BMC asked owners (Priyanka) to restore the building to its previous structure by demolishing the newly erected/constructed part with in a month. 'If they fail to reply on this, we will demolish the unauthorized construction,' said a BMC official.

This isn't the first time BMC is serving a legal notice to a Bollywood celebrities for an unauthorized construction. Among the celebs who received a notice from BMC include Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Irrfan Khan, Kapil Sharma, Shatrughan Sinha and others.
