Enigmatic Pawan Kalyan, who is known for his often contradictory statements, has stated that development is "not needed" after meeting the tribals of Dumbriguda, Paderu and Araku areas. Kalyan interacted with them at length. The tribals have presented Kalyan some gifts that were produced in the forest region.
Pawan said the development that "threatens the existence" is not necessary. He asked the policy makers to understand the plight of the tribals before drafting them from the air-conditioned rooms.
On quite contrary, Pawan had been taking break from his Yatra during weekends and is staying in air-conditioned rooms in nearby resort. Many are asking Pawan to practice before he preach.
Meanwhile, the Janasena chief had been demanding AP state government to take up development activities in Uttar Andhra and accused them of restricting development to Amaravati, the state's new capital city. Looks like, now Pawan and his team want the state government to go slow on development in tribal agencies.
