Diggi Raja is Out as AP Congress Incharge

Digvijaya Singh is out as the AP Congress Incharge. He has been replaced by Oomen Chandy, the former CM of Kerala (from 2004 to 2006 & 2011 to 2016) who will now become the AICC  General Secretary, in-charge of Andhra Pradesh. This change is implemented with immediate effect.

"The party appreciates the hard work and contribution of Shri Digvijaya Singh, who will be stepping down from his responsibility as AICC General Secretary in-charge of Andhra Pradesh, statement from party general secretary," said Ashok Gehlot, the Congress party's national general secretary and in-charge of organizations and training.

However, the sudden reason for ousting Diggi Raja has not been mentioned. After winning Karnataka with the help of JD(S), looks like, Congress is swiftly making its moves to regain its strength in other Southern states especially in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where it had held its sway earlier.

Ever since Rahul Gandhi became the vice-president of Congress, Rahul has been making big changes and keeping his own people by giving importance to them in the party.
