A big producer who also owns theaters in big number has taken a revolutionary decision. The decision may shower happiness on the heads of many small producers who have been alleging that he is toeing down their films by not giving the theaters for their releases. Well, the decision of that producer is to give back the theaters he leased. The information is leaked from one of his office staff members who is working on this.
When asked the details it is known that the reason for stepping out from holding the theaters is nothing to do with any pressure from any side. He is doing this for the only reason of not making proper ROI (Return On Investment).
Many opine that the producer has been enjoying monopoly with theaters in his hand. But the actual story is something different, It is said by the staff member that the producer took some hundreds of theaters on lease and paying reasonable fixed amount in installments to the owners. But the producers of films who got into rental agreement with him have been failing to pay the committed amount in full owing to flops. This is eventually burdening the big producer while paying installments to the original owners of the theaters.
So, to keep himself away from this, he decided to retain only his own theaters and give back all the leased ones. We have to see how many will be happy with this new development. This is also a chance for other biggies in the industry to capture the theaters shunned by this big producer.
