Boeing 737 from Havana Crashes After Takeoff: 100 feared Dead

A domestic Boeing 737 from Havana which was carrying around 104 passengers and 9 crew members crashed few minutes after it took off from Havana in Cuba. The local media could not yet clarify on death count, but the number is feared to be very high.

The flight crashed down between Boyeros and Satiago de La Vegas village, which is located some 20 kilometers down South of Havana.

It is Boeing 737-200 Reg XA-UMQ, leased from Mexican charter airline Global Air, operated by Cubana Airlines as flight #CU972, from Havana HAV to Holguin HOG. The reason for this tragic crashis not known yet. Onlookers reporters and social media images revealed about a large and high black smoke appeared. Firefighters and Ambulances have arrived at the scene and doing their best to save the survivors.

Update: Out of 104 passengers and 9 crew members, there are 3 survivors for now, and are in critical condition.
